Hello,
Welcome to my home page. My name is Deanna Mascle and I am a writer, teacher, and researcher. I am an instructor at Morehead State University and the Site Director of the Morehead Writing Project.
I am also a PhD student in the Technical Communication and Rhetoric Program at Texas Tech University.
My areas of interest include:
- Collaboration and Negotiation
- Discourse, Technology, & Digital Pedagogy
- Writing Studies & Pedagogy (with focus on self-efficacy and transfer)
My current research projects include:
- Agency and Efficacy in the Writing Workshop
- Does Effective Writing Instruction Matter?
- Negotiated Writing Assignments and Rubrics
Recent scholarship includes:
- Collaboration in the Composition Classroom, Winter 2009 Academic Exchange Quarterly
- Negotiated Assignments and Rubrics in Daring to Remix, Renegotiate, and Reassess Writing Assessment, 2010 CCCC, with Rebecca Rickly, Fred Kemp, and Ronda Wery
- Digital Connections and Learning Styles in The Handbook of Research on Virtual Environments for Corporate Education and Employee Learning, expected publication date March 2010, with Julie Davis and Letitia Harding
