Finding Your Strength in 2022

Our most recent Just Write invitation focused on unpacking 2021 and preparing for 2022. I intended to use Susannah Conway’s Unravel Your Year as a writing prompt before our last writing session but I just didn’t have time/energy for that work. So instead I chose some poems inspired by one of the words I gleaned from a quick skim of the reflection prompts: anchor.

Anchor felt very appropriate for me at this transitional point to new year, new semester, and fingers crossed, the beginning of the end of this pandemic. So much has changed, so much is unsettled, we all need to locate and reconnect with our anchors. I hope you find some inspiration in that search with these poems:

The door to our virtual writing group is always open at 7 p.m. Thursday ET. Even if you cannot commit to joining us you can sign up to receive the weekly invitations to inspire your writing.
