Uncertainty

Our season of quarantine leaves us unsettled because of the uncertainty that plagues even when all else is well. Sometimes we are hopeful because of the possibility that much can be remade out of the ashes of this world. Other times we are paralyzed by uncertainty as we are constantly required to think about this Schrodinger’s virus. We have to act as if we have the virus so we don’t spread it while simultaneously acting as if we don’t have the virus to prevent ourselves from contracting it. So we both have and do not have the virus. Of course, because of this uncertainty it feels as if Schrodinger rules every aspect of our lives from our grocery pickup order to our next paycheck. Write about that uncertainty and what box or boxes it resides at this moment.
