What Counts?
In honor of the U.S. Census, National Poetry Month, and the National Writing Project’s Pocket Poems – as well as our current global obsession with counting…on this day we lifted a line or image from Ella Wheeler Wilcox’s The Things That Count.
However, even when there is not a pandemic or a census, considering what counts, what is counted, and what is not is an important exercise for any reflective human.
