Burning

A recent conversation has me thinking about different aspects of burning. There is the idea of burnout (PTSD) when life is overwhelming; there is the idea of the world burning (which could definitely lead to burnout); and then there is actually burning your dinner, your house, or as a form of disposal (I come from a long line of farmers with burn barrels and I have long suspected that our fire pit is my husband’s chosen form of meditation, full disclosure). So what is burning in your life or what do you wish would burn? Are you a controlled burn sort of person or do you want to do a Daenerys Targaryen and burn them all?
I also found a few poems about burning for additional inspiration: When the Burning Begins, The Burn, and Last Sky World Burn.
