Eclipse Writing
The Rebel Cartographers are going to write their way into and out of the 2024 Total Solar Eclipse during our April 4 and April 11 meetings. If you are interested in joining us please sign up here.
We are leaning into our National Writing Project community with Reading, Writing & Creating with the Eclipse in Mind brought to us by the Ohio Writing Project. In addition, the Shared Sky interactive online poetry project celebrating the science and wonder will provide great inspiration.
Also on my mind is the poem Inner Planets by Lauren Camp. I’ve been thinking about this conversation with the poet ever since I first heard it and think it offers a tremendous invitation to thinking and writing.
While our experience of the eclipse may be fleeting, it will live on in our collective imagination and that is well worth exploring.
