What year of your life has been the most consequential for you? Use the Time Traveler Dictionary to explore the words recorded for that year and write in response. Note: This was not a part of our Write Across America visit, but I was reminded of the literature clock that delivers a literary quote for the exact moment in time – another great writing inspiration. After this warmup, we then dove into an exploration of the Deep Center Writing Project, Who is Savannah, and the the Gullah Geechee corridor (including a visit to the salt marsh) with this writing invitation. So much writing inspiration to be found!
