What voyages shaped you?

What memories of love both lost and cherished can you write about? What has tried to kill you and failed? What voyages have shaped you?
As I was still in recovery mode after the end of the semester, I did not prepare a writing invitation for the Just Write Virtual Writing Group (aka the Rebel Cartographers) but instead asked the regulars to bring a poem to share. Not everyone brought a poem but we ended up with three to offer inspiration:
- When You Are Old by William Butler Yeats
- won’t you celebrate with me by Lucille Clifton
- Quest by Carrie Williams Clifford
Lift a line, an image or metaphor, or question from any or all of these poems and write!
