Ozymandias
I dared to hope but I have also known since I listened to Poetry for All’s Ozymandias episode that this poem might be the writing invitation I needed to process the betrayals of this week. America’s choices this election may bring down more than one empire. Listen to Percy Shelley’s Ozymandias as performed by Bryan Cranston in his Breaking Bad persona and read the poem for yourself. Then join the Rebel Cartographers Thursday @ 7 p.m. Eastern as we consider how history is full of the rises and falls of empires and many of those empires left very little to mark their passing.
